Omah Joglo in Salere

is a perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of your daily routine. At Omah Joglo you might, at the beginning of your stay, feel destabilised in the quiet surroundings where you will begin to listen to the river cascading down below and hear the crickets and birds.
Omah Joglo Salere, a homey and peaceful Bed & Breakfast where you can reconnect with nature and with yourself.

Who we are :

The Bed & Breakfast is situated in the village of Salere, a few kilometres west of Tawangmangu, central Java.
Omah Joglo is not a traditional hotel; it is the home of a Javanese woman and her Canadian husband;
the house was inspired by a traditional Javanese Joglo. The house overlooks a river and is surrounded by rice fields and cultivated land. Andan and Carl invite you to share their home and offer you a more personal alternative to the hotel experience. The owners of Omah Joglo wish to share their experience of living in a charming and beautiful Javanese home offering all day coffee and tea, a four o'clock snack of homemade desserts and a continental breakfast with homemade bread, jams, juice of local strawberries, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit from the local market and freshly ground single origin Indonesian coffee.

Omah is the Javanese word for home
Joglo is a traditional house-construction of Java
Salere is a village situated 38 kilometers east of the city of Solo in Central Java, 5 kilometers west of the town of Tawangmangu.
