A bit of information about the place
Omah Joglo in the village of Salere, a few kilometres west of Tawangmangu, central Java, offers a peaceful retreat to travellers who wish to take a break from their busy and sometimes stressful life. Omah Joglo is not a traditional hotel; it is the home of a Javanese woman and her Canadian husband; the house was inspired by a traditional Javanese Joglo. The house overlooks a river and is surrounded by rice fields and cultivated land. Andan and Carl invite you to share their home and offer you a more personal alternative to the hotel experience. The owners of Omah Joglo wish to share their experience of living in a charming and beautiful Javanese home offering all-day tea and coffee, a four o'clock snack of homemade desserts and a scrumptious breakfast with homemade bread, jams, juice of local strawberries, scrambled eggs and fresh fruit from the local market. And of course single origin Indonesian coffee. Omah Joglo Salere, a homey and peaceful Bed & Breakfast where you can reconnect with nature and with yourself.
